Clear Cache Ram Ubuntu

By default the Linux OS has a very efficient memory management process that should be freeing any cached memory on the machine that it is being run on. However when it comes to Cached memory the Linux OS may at times decide that the Cached memory is being used and is needed which can lead to memory related issues and ultimately take your server of any potentially free memory. To overcome this you can force the Linux OS to free up and stored Cached memory.
If you want to clear cached memory on ubuntu run the following command from your terminal

The page cache is automatically enabled on Linux systems and will transparently make IO faster by storing recently used data in the cache. If you want to manually clear the cache that can be done easily by sending an echo command to the /proc filesystem indicating to the kernel to drop the cache and free the memory used for the cache. Clean up APT cache in Ubuntu. Ubuntu uses APT (Advanced Package Tool) for installing, removing and managing software on the system, and in doing so it keeps a cache of previously downloaded and installed packages even after they’ve been uninstalled. The APT package management system keeps a cache of DEB packages in /var/cache/apt/archives. On Ubuntu 18.04, you can use memtester command line utility to check your RAM for errors. Memtester is not installed on Ubuntu 18.04 by default. But it is available in the official package repository of Ubuntu 18.04. First update the package repository cache of your Ubuntu 18.04 machine with the following command: $ sudo apt-get update. However, if you want to force the Linux OS to do clearing memory cache on a particular interval, just add the command to cron job. Here, I show you how. Open up your terminal and enter the following command to create a file called cacheclear.sh. Say for example, I create cacheclear.sh file in my /home directory. However, if I can disable this process / clean the cache once after that, I think my system will speed up to some extent. Correct me if I am wrong here. I have also tried Bleachbit memory cleaning, but it doesn't seem to clean the memory cache properly. Also, the feature is still in an experimental stage.
